Yes. All treatments are safe for your family, pets, staff and customers as we only use registered insecticides which can be used within homes, schools, kindergartens, daycare centres, hotels, offices and places where general public will be in contact with the insecticide. Most treatments will be conducted whilst staff, children, pets and customers aren’t around for extra safety and discretion.

We would always recommend you vacate your property whilst the treatment is in progress, especially if you’ve got young children. The only reason for this is we don’t want them to play with toys in the wet insecticide and put them in their mouths. Whilst the floors are wet there is also the chance of slipping. There are no fumes or smells associated with the treatments, as all insecticides are water based, so its just an extra precaution. Pets can be contained in the laundry or garage whilst treatments are in progress and these areas treated last. This is only until the insecticide has dried then its safe for everyone including pets.
If you’re having a rodent treatment conducted then no you don’t need to vacate your property. The baits are secured in lockable tamper resistant bait stations so children and pets cannot access the baits.
This is dependent on which pests you’re having treated, but in normal circumstances between 10-28 days.

In residential properties annual treatments are normally recommended but 6 monthly may be recommended dependent on activity levels, high risk areas and design of the property. This will be discussed with you at the time of the initial treatment.
Yes, but this is very rare. We conduct hundreds of rodent jobs per year and only get a handful of calls regarding dead rats or mice within properties.
Ideally, treatments should be conducted during dry spells of weather. Needless to say, this is not always possible in Melbourne. The products that are used externally of your premises is formulated to withstand a range of climatic conditions – rain (as long as it is not torrential for several days in a row) does not present a problem. Once dry the insecticide crystallises and creates a barrier that will control pests for several weeks.
The effectiveness of the internal, roof void, subfloor and wall cavity treatment will not be compromised by inclement weather.
The chances of secondary poisoning are extremely rare. A medium sized dog would need to eat a large number of dead rodents for it to happen. The rodenticide is a one feed kill for rats and mice so they won’t consume enough baits to harm pets and other wildlife. If you do find dead rats or mice within your property boundary, remove them (always wear gloves and place in a tied plastic bag and dispose of in the garbage bin).
